AI Tickets & Knowledge Base

Trundle's AI ticket tools don't look at your ticket text in isolation. They tap into your workspace's Knowledge Base: the uploaded requirements, transcripts and internal documentation that describe how your product actually works.

By grounding Trundle in your own documentation, it generates accurate, context-aware suggestions tailored to your business rules.

What is the Knowledge Base?

The Knowledge Base is where your team centralises foundational project data, such as PRDs, customer feedback, call transcripts and specifications. Instead of forcing people to read through long documents to understand a feature request, Trundle embeds this content and retrieves the most relevant passages automatically. You can upload a wide range of files (including PDFs, Microsoft Word / PowerPoint / Excel, CSVs, plain-text and Markdown, structured text like JSON and YAML, images, and common code files), up to 20 MB each. For security, active-content formats such as SVG and raw HTML pages are not accepted.

How the Knowledge Base upgrades your tickets

Two workflows draw directly on your Knowledge Base:

  1. 01

    Smarter description improvements

The "Improve with AI" button rewrites a rough ticket description to be clearer and more actionable, pulling relevant context from your Knowledge Base so scope, edge cases and goals align with your PRDs and feedback. (A ticket needs a title and a description of at least 100 characters before you can improve it.)

  2. 02

    Precision clarifying answers

The separate "Ask clarifying questions" action generates targeted questions about the ticket. When it drafts or applies answers, it references your uploaded source material, giving engineers factual, grounded responses instead of guesswork.

Note that these are two distinct tools on the ticket: improving the description does not itself ask clarifying questions.

FAQ

How do I get answers from my documentation?
Use Ask Trundle (from the global search overlay) to ask questions in natural language. It searches your account's Knowledge Base and returns an answer along with the source excerpts it used. When you improve a ticket or generate clarifying questions, Trundle runs the same kind of retrieval automatically against the relevant project's documents.
What file types can we upload?
A broad set: PDFs, Office documents, CSVs, text and Markdown, images and code files, up to 20 MB each. SVG and raw HTML are blocked for security.
Is my Knowledge Base data shared across other Trundle accounts?
No. Project retrieval is scoped to your specific account and project, and Ask Trundle is scoped to your account. Your documents are never shared across accounts.
